With the 2014 release of Photoshop CC, Creative Cloud installs the correct version of Photoshop for your Windows operating system:

  • If you have a 32-bit version of Windows 7 or Windows 8, Creative Cloud installs the 32-bit version of Photoshop.
  • If you have a 64-bit version of Windows 7 or Windows 8, Creative Cloud installs only the 64-bit version of Photoshop.

In order to optimize download and install time, 64-bit and 32-bit versions are not packaged in the same installer.

  • On Mac, you cannot install to the root directory of the boot drive.

To use the product on a third computer, you will be presented on launch with the option to remotely sign out of one of the other systems. You may also first deactivate the software on one computer by choosing Help > Sign Out.

If the installer finds older versions of these fonts in the default system font directory, it will uninstall the older versions and save them to a new directory. The 2014 release of Photoshop CC rolls out Typekit integration to bring a world of typographic possibilities to your creative projects. You can use fonts from Typekit that are synchronized with your computer. These fonts appear alongside locally installed fonts. You can also choose to view only fonts from Typekit in the Text tool options bar and the Character panel font lists. For details, see Work with fonts from Typekit.
