Finding Your Activation ID or Serial Number

Sibelius 7 (and earlier)

If you are running Sibelius 7.1 or later, you have an Activation ID rather than a serial number. To find your Activation ID, open a score, click the File tab, then choose the Help page, and click Deactivate Sibelius 7 on the right. This will launch Avid License Control: within Avid License Control, click the License Info tab to see your Activation ID.

For Sibelius 7.0 and earlier, the serial number begins with the letter S and is printed on a label, either on a card inside your box (Sibelius 7) or on the back of your original Sibelius CD-ROM/DVD case (Sibelius 6 and earlier).

If you purchased Sibelius as a download, your serial number or Activation ID can be found by logging in to your Avid account, and clicking Your products.

If you have already registered Sibelius but it has become unregistered for some reason, you can also normally re-register it from this web page - enter your serial number above.

Sibelius First

If you are running Sibelius First v7 or later, you have an Activation ID rather than a serial number.
